The club embraces a varied cross section of the hobby of Lapidary. Membership is open to members of the community aged from 12 years and up. Experienced members take on the roles of tutoring and mentoring new members.
Tuition is available in the arts of:
- cutting and polishing precious stones, and other attractive stones as facetted gems or cabochons;

basic silver-smithing;
The club conducts regular Field Trips to the nearby gem fields to find topaz, sapphires, and other materials suitable for the hobby.
Our Gemologist and Specimen Curator can assist in the identification of both gemstones and minerals for club members.
The Clubrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with well-maintained machinery.
Work areas are fully supervised.
